Featuring benefits of both a tricycle and a stroller, our tricycle strollers are in a league of their own! These push trikes with handles are great for small children, offering them a chance to develop motor, physical, and cognitive skills, all while being comfortably maneuvered by parents. Many of our 4-in-1 Stroll ‘N Trike® models come with canopies and harnesses to help secure children while their parents push. What’s great about these tricycle strollers is that, as your child grows up, the footrest can be removed to let your child pedal, as well as the push trike handle when your child is ready to fly solo!

Shop for trikes with handles in classic and all-terrain varieties. Rugged air tires on our all-terrain push tricycles make it easier to wheel over bumpy surfaces. Our Steer & Stroll Trike® models are also great for teaching children how to learn to ride. Once children have mastered pedaling and steering, parents can remove the push handle from the tricycle, and let children ride on their own.

Stroll 'N Trikes Frequently Asked Questions

What makes tricycle strollers different?

Tricycle strollers incorporate the best of both —tricycles and strollers. More than just a fun design, tricycle strollers help children to develop coordination and gross motor skills while keeping control of movement and maneuverability in parents’ hands. As toddlers grow up, the push handle and other safeguards can be moved, transforming most of our tricycle strollers into traditional trikes.

Are push tricycles good for toddlers?

Yes, push tricycles are great for toddlers. With a seat belt, safety ring, and a detachable footrest, push trikes allow toddlers to safely practice their coordination and motor skills. As they grow and master these skills, these features can be removed, allowing for more freedom and the ability to further develop skills.

What are push tricycles for?

Push tricycles are great for teaching small children how to ride tricycles. They’re also an excellent and safe vehicle for developing essential motor skills, such as balance, hand-eye coordination, steering, and more.

Are trike strollers worth it?

Trike strollers are a great toy that encourages the learning of important motor skills and can be quite formative for the early years of development. Most of our trike strollers at Radio Flyer are also adjustable, so as your child grows, so does your push trike. Safety features, like safety rings, footrests, and push handles, can also be removed, transforming your kid’s vehicle into a traditional tricycle.

Do you need a helmet for a push trike?

While there is no requirement to wear a helmet, many parents find that adding a kid’s safety helmet, especially when children are old enough to ride a tricycle on their own, is great for added safety and peace of mind. At Radio Flyer, we offer kids’ helmets in colors and styles that match our push tricycles.

What age should a child ride a tricycle?

While most traditional tricycles are designed for children ages 3 and up, our tricycle stroller and push trike collections include models that are great for children as young as 1-year-old. Because they’re adjustable, they can grow with your child, becoming their favorite toy up through age 5.
