Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love this roadster!! Raído Flyer provided us with this roadster to test and give an honest review. I have to say assembly was pretty easy and didn’t take more than 15 to 20 minutes. At first glance I thought my 2 1/2 year old might be to small for it, but I was wrong! We adjusted the seat and it fit him perfect! He had never peddled before and with in 10 minutes he was peddling like a pro! I love that he will be able to grow with it!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Very sturdy We received a free sample of the Pedal Racer for our 2.5 year old and she was so excited to give it a try. At first glance, we thought the assembly would take some time, but it was quite quick and easy. The Pedal Racer is very sturdy and very easy to ride. Our 2.5 year old had a blast riding it both forward and backwards. My daughter is very tall so we have the seat in the farthest back position, but even so she'll be able to ride it for a few years. Overall recommend.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Perfect for a little one who wants to drive a car Radio Flyer provided me with a free sample to test and try out and our 3 boys couldn’t have been more excited to do so. Assembly was pretty simple and this is coming from someone who’s never really picked up a wrench before in her whole life! It took 30 minutes tops and that was only because I had the boys help me put some parts together and try using the tools. My 6 year old tried it first but didn’t have enough leg room to really enjoy it. After awkwardly trying to ride it down the driveway, he lost interest and hopped off. Our 3 year old then gave it a try and absolutely loved it! I believe he excitedly said, “It’s like I’m driving a car but I’m riding a bike and exercising too!” We've only had it for a couple days, but he won't stop asking to got outside and ride it more. He’s able to turn with ease and there’s no worry of him tipping (like he has on the Ziggle bike during a fast spin before). I love seeing the huge, proud smile on his face when he rides this bike, his “car”! It may not be best for school-aged kids but I highly recommend for any 3-4 year olds-they will LOVE it!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from My 3 year old loves it! Radio Flyer provided me with a free sample of the product to try out and review. The Radio Flyer Pedal Racer overall is a fun concept for a child play vehicle which has more stability than a bike (with or without training wheels) or tricycle. A child going fast enough could still fall off, but it does not seem possible to tip over. The overall construction is very sturdy- mostly metal especially where it counts, and not more than 3 pieces that could get loose or fall off.  Starting with the assembly, it was very simple to set up, ultimately just a few pieces (steering wheel came in a couple pieces, the central chassis/body and the back axle and wheels) with minimal hardware parts (bolts, screws, clasp). I was pleasantly surprised by a 15 minutes assembly. Since we live in a dusty environment (Sonoran Desert) the enclosed gear/chain is a great feature. There were certain pieces I was concerned about, although no issues with yet: (1) the caps instead of bolts to fasten the back wheels seems less secure than a simple bolt on however I know it is a signature Radio Flyer design. (2) The seat is adjustable which should help with smaller children however the range of motion is hardly enough for my son- his knees are bent more than 90 degrees it would be nice if there was an adjustment for even further back. (3) The plastic pieces are not flimsy, however I am concerned about their durability over time especially in the harsh sun where we live. The handle on the seat is handy for assisting with going up hills or giving him a boost.  Regarding the functionality, my son really enjoys riding it especially when he can get going down small hills (I would be concerned if he went down large hills since the steering doesn't allow for very fine tune handling. He appears some what scrunched up because of how close the pedals are to the seat- while the look is reminiscent of a go-kart the seat is so high up and close to the pedals that it actually is styled more like a bicycle. It looks like it would be difficult to get very much torque because of the angle, my son does not appear to struggle any more than would be expected with a child pedaling- at first he complained about not being able to get going but on a level enough surface he had no problem. The terrain was a main factor of with how much ease he could get the Pedal Racer going or keep it going: in dirt this was actually fairly difficult, but on blacktop and concrete this was no problem.  Overall, this is a really fun bike alternative that gives a fun impression of a go kart or boxcar style. Though there are a few adjustments I would have liked I am still very pleased with the product and my son loves it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Radio Flyin'! **Radio Flyer provided me with a free Pedal Racer to test and try out.** Out of the box, the racer was easy to assemble. My 3-year old really enjoys cruising around in his Pedal Racer. This is his first vehicle with pedals, so it is really nice for him to get used to pedaling around. The wheels are nice and big and provides a quiet ride. The steering column and wheel is at a good height. I did not see him struggling to steer it around. Adjusting the seat's position is a breeze and takes less than 2 minutes. His eyes light up when he gets the opportunity to drive it around. Seeing that happiness being exuded is all we can ask for from a product.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Fun bike, great for multiple kids to use We were excited to try this pedal racer because our two sons (ages 2 and 4) don't have much experience on bikes and we thought this would give them a good opportunity to practice pedaling. My 4-year-old son LOVES this product, but I have to say that he already looks like he's almost too big for it, although he's an average size for his age. My 2-year-old can't quite pedal at this point, which I didn't realize would be the case, but he loves to sit on it and propel himself forward with his legs. Anyway, I really like that this can be used by both kids, since the seat is adjustable. That being said, it's not just a quick pull to adjust the seat - it's not a huge production, but you do have to get under the seat and undo the screws. You don't need a screwdriver to do this, though, since there are some handy knobs on the screws. I probably would have rated this 5 stars if the seat position was quicker to adjust and if the wheels had been rubber instead of plastic. All in all, this is a solid toy that I can see my kids using for years. Please note that Radio Flyer provided me with a free sample to test and try out in exchange for my review.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from My Kids love this bike Radio Flyer provided me a free sample to try petal racer out. My first impression was that the materials used in this racer seemed durable and good for both genders. My kids being relatively new to using pedal bikes enjoyed the reclined direction and it allowed them to see their feet as they petaled. I like that this bike will grow with them as they get taller. I also liked the easy grip handle that made the front wheels move. The paint quality and finish quality seemed above my expectations. I also liked that the actual chain of the bike was protected under plastic for safety of little ones. Overall I was very impressed with this bike and would recommend it to family and friends for their kids.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great for learning to pedal It’s important to note that Radio Flyer sent me this product to try out and write my honest review. We have two boys, one just turned 6 and a just turned 3 year old. Both were excited to try out the pedal racer. It’s important to read the directions carefully while putting the racer together it will take about 10 to 15 minutes to put together. It’s a cool design that has an adjustable seat. Our 6 year old is really too big but loves to zoom around the garage on it and our 3 year old is just getting the hang of pedaling to make it go go go! We also like the design has a reflector that is built in to the back of the frame that is great but not noticeable. It’s overall a cool pedal toy that our boys love!
