Recently my family and I were at a pumpkin farm searching for the perfect pumpkins.  Throughout our visit I loved watching families collect pumpkins, capture pictures, eat cider donuts and race down the slide coming off “Tire Mountain.” And we came across the best display of Radio Flyer wagons I have ever seen.

When I was a kid, I remember playing music from a radio out of the garage.  I would crank up my favorite songs and act out an entire musical performance on my bicycle while riding in circles in the driveway.

About a week ago, I ran in the Chicago Marathon as I have done pretty much every year since my first marathon in 2000. When I decided to run that first marathon I thought it would be a great goal to help me shed the additional 30+ pounds I had put on in my 20’s as well as to help me manage stress.

And when we play, we get to be the best version of ourselves. The version that laughs hysterically, dreams wildly, and squeezes as much fun as possible out of a Saturday afternoon.
