My grandfather, Antonio Pasin, founded Radio Flyer 100 years ago when he made our very first wagon in his workshop in Chicago. Like his father and grandfather, Antonio was an Italian craftsman who believed that products should be beautifully designed, made of quality materials, and built to last. He created products that could be used over and over again for many years - he was a sustainable business leader before that phrase had been invented.
Today we strive to build on my grandfather's foundation to create a truly sustainable company.
As part of our commitment to running a responsible business, we are ensuring that safe chemicals are used in our products and we are designing toys with a lower carbon footprint. Some new 2017 goals are guiding this work and motivating our teams to pursue innovative solutions. At home, we received LEED platinum certification for our Headquarters renovation and installed a geothermal energy project to help reduce our greenhouse gas emissions. Here at Radio Flyer, we work to live by the "Little Red Rule" so that every time we touch people's lives they will feel great about Radio Flyer. One of the ways we do this is in our annual all-company community service project, when our team members came together to build a playground for urban children near our office.
I have always believed that Radio Flyer is a force of good in the world. We design awesome kids products, enable outdoor play, bring families together and transport people back to the best parts of their childhood. Like every “Flyer” who works here, I am deeply passionate about working hard to become a more sustainable company.
Keep On Rolling!
Robert Pasin, Chief Wagon Officer
We build sturdy products that last generations. Then we provide FUNomenal service to customers seeking to restore well-loved products.
We ensure that our toys and the materials we use to create them are safe for kids and the environment. We do this by keeping harmful chemicals out of our products. Furthermore, we incorporate recycled plastics and other low impact materials into our toys and packaging.
We foster community by building a great place to work, coming together to build urban playgrounds, partnering with responsible manufacturers and by supporting community-based organizations.
