As the CEO of Radio Flyer and grandson of the founder, it is really important for me that we give back to the communities we serve and live in.  One way we do this is by making our company more environmentally responsible—from our products to the place we work each day.  That’s why I’m so proud to share that Radio Flyer recently obtained LEED Platinum certification for our headquarters in Chicago.

Halloween Fun: Cruising Costumes

Neighborhoods everywhere are bursting with decorations in anticipation of Halloween.  I love to see doorsteps lit by the glow of carved pumpkins and shrubs beset with spider webs.  Soon sidewalks will be overtaken by pirates and princesses sprinting from house to house.

The first thing most people do when they meet me and find out what I do for a living is smile.  The next thing they do is say, “I have a Radio Flyer story,” and their eyes light up, their expression softens, they look into the distance and seem to be transported back to their childhood.

They then proceed to tell me about the wagon they toted along on the paper route they had when they were a kid, how their sibling pulled them around in crazy backyard adventure or the rocketship they created with their friends.
