It seems as if there is nothing in this world quite as contagious as a smile, especially a smile from a truly happy baby. Whenever our May Little Red Stories winner, Zoey, rides in her wagon she is grinning from ear to ear, says her mother, Valerie. At just one-year old, Zoey knows what makes her happy and she has even learned other ways, outside of her smile, to communicate this feeling to her Mom.

Our March Little Red Stories winner shared how her youngest daughter, Evie, received a Radio Flyer scooter for her birthday in February, but couldn’t take it for a spin because of the snow hiding the sidewalks. Once the ice melted away, she headed outside to enjoy her new ride and didn’t let the bitter winter hold her back.

Our February Little Red Stories winner, Laura T., tells us that both she and her husband received a Radio Flyer wagon when they were two years old. She remembers hers being covered in balloons that wiggled in the wind as her Uncle George wheeled it around the yard. She recalls her uncle telling her parents, “Every kid should have a red wagon.”

Time for chores! A sentence that can make people of all ages cringe or suddenly feel sleepy. For that reason, some say that it’s a good idea to give kids housework when they’re young. It can encourage them to complete their cleaning duties in the future. While they might not be able to do the dishes or start the laundry, toddlers can help with other tasks. They can pick up their toys and books and put away dirty clothes. They can even help with pets around the house. You know, like feeding the family’s 750-1200 pound horses.
