Halloween Fun: Cruising Costumes

October 28, 2013
Neighborhoods everywhere are bursting with decorations in anticipation of Halloween.  I love to see doorsteps lit by the glow of carved pumpkins and shrubs beset with spider webs.  Soon sidewalks will be overtaken by pirates and princesses sprinting from house to house.

Trick-or-treating can be hard work, and sometimes little pumpkins need help keeping up with their older siblings' frantic candy gathering.

Got the wiggles?  We challenged ourselves to create a kids riding product like no other.   Something that was so fun, kids would not want to stop riding it and would keep playing with for hours.  We think we have a winner with the new Radio Flyer Ziggle,  designed for ages 3 to 8.

Game Time: Birthday Games

February 11, 2013

At so many birthday parties we expect a gaggle of kids to wait patiently while a birthday girl opens gifts or the birthday boy blows out candles. All that waiting can be tough for kids who NEED to move, and they will squirm, wiggle and bounce if you want them to or not!

Birthday Bash: Isabelle turns 4!

November 19, 2012

Kid's birthday parties are a chance to celebrate one special child at one special moment in their life. There are some standard ingredients: invitations, party treats, fun activities, and gaggles of friends. Each element is infinitely customizable to age, hobbies and family tradition. Choosing a theme based on a child's interests (or obsessions?) is a way to cherish who they are at that exact age.

Kid Crafts: Celebration Countdown

November 02, 2012

Birthdays, holidays, big formal festivities, small shindigs, I love them all! Celebrations are important. These events serve so many purposes: they mark milestones, bring families together and provide an excuse to wear a special outfit. For pretty much every kid, it is almost impossible to wait patiently for these days. Especially when there are weeks between this very moment and something exciting like a birthday!

A New Way to Play: Groovin' to the Music

When I was a kid, I remember playing music from a radio out of the garage.  I would crank up my favorite songs and act out an entire musical performance on my bicycle while riding in circles in the driveway.

Why the World Needs Radio Flyer

Why does the world need Radio Flyer?  Really … come on – it’s just a toy.  Would people die if they didn’t have a wagon, or a tricycle?  Our products are not a necessity.  I was chatting with my neighbor a couple of nights ago, and guess what he does? He’s a brain surgeon – he saves lives.  What do I do? I just sell wagons.

It got me thinking … am I making a meaningful enough contribution to this world?
