We know we have some of the best brand fans in the world … and some of the most creative and imaginative.  That’s why we are inviting YOU, our most loyal fans, to tap into your inner inventor to create the next Radio Flyer wagon, trike, scooter, bike or ride-on.

Your idea could win you a $2,500 minimum advance on 20 years percentage of sales or buyout!   In other words, a winning idea could give you a little extra money in your pocket for a long time.

So as you gather with friends and family over the holidays, why not brainstorm about what could be the next Radio Flyer product that will inspire kids to get outside and play, and create warm memories that will last a lifetime?  We have partnered with Edison Nation to help us on this special mission  Entries are due Jan. 6, 2014 to Edison Nation.

To get your creative juices flowing, consider new ways kids 10 and under could push, pedal, ride, glide, bounce, scoot, roll, wiggle!  Some of our new products in 2013 have included the EZ Fold Stroll N Trike™ (pictured at the right), which is a fun, tricycle alternative to a stroller and Ziggle (below), a kid-powered way to ride and play.

Past innovations include the the Fold 2 Go® Trike--a trike that folds for easy storage; My First Scooter® Sport--which has an extra wide deck for beginners that offers maximum stability; Pathfinder Wagon®--which has foldable seatbacks to create two wagons in one; and the 4-in-1 Trike--which is a trike designed to grow with kids from 9 months to 5 years. You can also look at our wide assortment of classic ride-ons and new favorites for additional inspiration.

  • With award-winning Ziggle, kids move the handle bars back and forth and use their arms and core to twist and wiggle as they glide and giggle
  • The award-winning Pathfinder Wagon has seats that fold to create two wagons in one.
  • The Triple Play Wagon, new in 2013, provides room for three children.
  • The "resist push" feature on the Classic Walker Wagon allows beginner walkers to safely build confidence and balance.

A few other things to keep in mind … ideas should:

  • fit with the Radio Flyer brand, yet be new, different and super fun for kids
  • abide by safety standards
  • offer outstanding consumer value for a low manufacturing cost
  • consider new materials, new manufacturing methods or new applications of existing technology to the ride-on category
  • be submitted only through Edison Nation

If you are game, you just need to follow the submission on Edison Nation’s website to the best of your ability and upload images, sketches and any other media that support your idea.

Interested?  Go to Edison Nation by Jan. 6 to share your idea. Good luck!
