While on my morning walk with my 6 month old.... Black lab puppy I past a neighbors trash and saw this spectacular trike sitting next to their garbage can. Granted there were no grips but the was a shinny trigger bell gleaming at me. As I walked closer my childhood years flashed in front of me. To pedaling as a toddler to standing on the back "steps" at 7 to see how far I could ride on the back two wheels this trike needed to be rescued. I wheeled it into the garage and found absolutely nothing wrong; just missing grips. On that note I reached out on google and was directed to this Radio Flyer website. Minutes later I purchase new grips to be delivered in the next few days for a... Wait for it... A whole $7.02. Deal. Not having kids of my own i can't wait until the grips are on and I can deliver this "new" trike to my 2 year nephew to enjoy my/our past. This trike was not mint but it was in great kid condition. No rust, minimal scratches and ready to roll. So needless to say I don't know why the previous review mentioned rust issues because this trike seems solid and with very minimal care this treasure will last forever. Handlebars are rusting and it isn't even a year old. The other two I got are fading out and plastic pieces are broken. They aren't but six months old. I thought Radio Flyer was a good brand. Guess I'll be looking around more for my next three. (Posted on 7/7/14)
Thank you one million times for still manufacturing this great trike. And thank you one zillion times for including TWO little red hubcaps in addition to the already installed one, on the axle. These are essential to holding the back wheels on, and cannot be taken off and reused. So when, in my excitement at putting together the trike, I forgot to put on one of the rear wheels, I was thrilled you had put an extra hubcap in. Saved days of frustration! I was able immediately to remove the hubcap (not real easy, actually) and re-start the assembly.
THANK YOU. (Posted on 3/8/13)
