Bought my grandson this flyer for his 3rd birthday. Ordered him a thumbBell to attach to handlebars and he is set. Quality product and all tricked out with bright color, decals and racing pennant. He will grow with and enjoy this item for several years. (Posted on 8/19/14)
Bought one for my 3 1/2 year old son 3 months ago, he loves it and has no problems riding it what so ever. It's his favorite toy, even his Kid traxx police charger now sits in the garage now. An excellent buy and quality is the best I have ever seen on a BIG WHEEL.

I purchased the Big Flyer last week for my grandson. He loves it and we have to get him in out of the heat because he just wont get off of it. His legs weren't long enough but his grandmother made a bean bag filled with rice that goes behind him to move him forward enough to reach the pedals. We have not had any issues with the tire slippage on clean smooth concrete or the asphalt drive way. His mother grew up on the old style big wheel and wishes hers had been as nice as the Radio Flyer. We bought this for my 3 year old. He is of average height, but could not reach the pedals at the smallest setting. My 6 year old loves it, however. We have had issues with the front wheel "slipping", but that doesn't bother my son. Radio Flyer really should adjust their age recommendations. My 6 year old has enough bikes and now we still need something for the 3 year old. (Posted on 6/27/14)
After 9 months of use both (we bought 2, one for each son) of the big wheels back tires are cracked. For this kind of money I would expect them to last longer!!!! (Posted on 6/8/14)
I bought this for my son that isn't interested in riding a bike. He loves power sliding on this. I'm happy to get him outside with the others. I was however surprised at how much the front wheel slipped. It's probably better than other brands but judging by what the package stated, I expected a stickier material for the front wheel. Overall a well built toy. I also wish the replacement wheels were cheaper. (Posted on 12/31/13)
My 7 year old can pedal so fast she always pass the dog and I on our walks. Is all about the her leg muscles from swimming and the trampoline. She's small for 7 and have the seat in the second position, hope to get another year out of it. (Posted on 7/16/13)
My kids loved this big wheel and I would have given it a 5 star for that, but the quality brings it down to 3 for me. I bought it for a then 6, 5, and 3 yr old. They could all ride it, even the 3 yr old although it was a bit of a reach for her at first and she is tall. This is not something that will work for a small 3 yr old. But then this is not like buying a tike, it's a big wheel meant for older kids. Like I said, they loved it. Only problem is it lasted one summer. The flag broke off the first week, no big deal but right at a year of use (and of course right outside any warranty) both back wheels cracked and broke. Now it's a shame that the replacement wheels are $15 each because for $15 more I can buy a new big wheel at my local superstore. It it were $10 each or 2 for $15 I'd replace them. I won't buy a new Radio Flyer however because I'll put my money into a better, higher quality big wheel that will last longer for my kids. (Posted on 6/18/13)
I bought this trike several years ago. It has now being used by my 4th kid. All my kids have loved it, and have riden it hard. They can really go fast. Occasionally the front tire will slip a little when first taking off, but very minimal compared to all others I've seen. Just now my front tire has worn out. The back tires are still in great shape. This has been a favorite toy for years. I'm am ordering a new front tire today. I just saw some disappointing reviews and my kids would argue with them. My three year old is now riding it and he can reach the pedals. He is tall for his age and stretches a little, but has no problem keeping up with his older siblings. My sister bought one after seeing ours. She also has 5 kids. They love it too and have no problems with theirs. Still looks brand new and has went through 2 kids. And yes, they both are used a lot - DAILY. (Posted on 6/14/13)
I was lucky enough to find one at a rummage sale - both grandsons loved it! So much that I bought a second one. Neither grandson had a problem with the tires like the other reviewers stated. Considering I compared a used one and brand new one (side by side) and both performed beautifully! They prefer it over every other bike they have and they have quite a few. Two wheel bikes, other brands of big wheels, scooters and other various ride-ons. (Posted on 6/14/13)
We bought this for our son last year knowing he had to be 3-7 to use it. Our son is 3 now, very tall for his age. He has not been able to reach the paddles! My daughter is 4 and she can't reach it either. Very disappointed. To much money for something we can't use. I feel bad resealing it because who wants to buy a tricycle for a 5 year old since a 3 year and a 4 year old cant use it?
I looks great but not usable. (Posted on 5/18/13)
My kids each got one of these for Christmas. They love them but the tires do not last. The back tires are already coming apart after 3 months. A lot of money for these that do not last.

I just bought a big flyer for my daughter's 4th birthday. She tried it on the carpet, paved driveway, in the garage and in the grass trying her best to get it going. She got frustrated so I got my 8 year old to try, front wheel just spins and only got traction a few seconds at a time. Very happy with the wagon and trike from radio flyer so i purchased this because my four year old outgrew the trike. Was this product tested before going to production? Are crying four year olds and customer reviews a part of future product development?

My son is 5 and very tall but when he goes to ride this the front tire just spins. I even tried it on a concrete driveway and still had not luck. After my son gave up and walked away crying I asked my 9 year old to try and he couldn't get it to work also. Alot of money for for somthing that no one can use!!
